What it is
Lever is an ATS + native CRM, mostly serving mid-market companies. After being acquired by Employ Inc. (Jobvite, JazzHR), product velocity has slowed, but the core ATS is still solid and the CRM remains one of the few ATS-native options.
Why it shows up in Recruiting/TA stacks
- CRM in the ATS. Nurture campaigns, talent pools, and silver-medalist workflows live in the same product as your reqs. For teams not buying Gem, this is real value.
- Mid-market sweet spot. Pricing and complexity sit between Ashby and Greenhouse. Series B–D companies that don’t need full Greenhouse muscle often land here.
- Decent reporting. Lever Insights covers funnel, source ROI, and DEI without forcing a BI tool, though it trails Ashby’s depth.
