What it is

Zoho CRM is the sales CRM from Zoho Corporation, the privately held Indian software company that also sells Zoho One, Desk, Books, Campaigns and 50+ other apps. It covers the full Salesforce-shaped feature set at a fraction of the price: leads, accounts, contacts, deals, territories, a stage-gated process builder (Blueprint), CPQ, cadences, forecasting, custom modules, sandboxes and customer portals. The closest analogue is Salesforce Sales Cloud, not Pipedrive. Zoho copies Salesforce’s data model and admin depth, then prices it like an SMB tool. Zoho says 350,000+ businesses use it.

Why it shows up in RevOps stacks

  • The cheapest real admin depth on the market. Enterprise, at $40/user/month annual, includes custom modules (100 per org), 50 active Blueprints, territory management, custom functions (Deluge, Zoho’s scripting language), configuration and data sandboxes, and customer portals. Getting the same set from Salesforce or HubSpot means Enterprise tiers at roughly 4x the seat price.
  • Agents and an MCP endpoint at no platform fee. Zoho’s pricing page lists Zia Agents, its agent builder, from the Standard edition up. Zoho prices building and deploying agents at $0. Zoho-hosted models include 30 million tokens a month on the standard model tier, metered in credits (1 credit per 1,000 tokens) after that. Zoho MCP exposes CRM records and actions to Claude, GPT-based agents, and Cursor, so an ops team can query or update deals from an assistant without building a connector.
  • A suite behind it. Teams that already run Zoho Books, Desk or Campaigns get native record links across apps, which removes a Zapier layer HubSpot-plus-QuickBooks shops end up maintaining.

Pricing reality

List prices, confirmed on zoho.com today: Free (3 users), Standard $14, Professional $23, Enterprise $40, Ultimate $52 per user/month on annual billing. Monthly billing is $20, $35, $50 and $65. There is no seat minimum, no mandatory onboarding fee, and no separate AI meter for the core product. The bundled CX platform (formerly CRM Plus) is a separate price list.

The tier that matters for a RevOps team is Enterprise. Professional adds CPQ, inventory and Blueprint (capped at 3 active processes), but Zia’s predictions, the AI sales assistant, territories, custom functions and sandboxes all start at Enterprise. A 10-seat team on Enterprise annual pays $4,800/year. The same team on HubSpot Sales Hub Professional pays $10,800/year in seats plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee. Ultimate ($6,240/year at 10 seats) is worth it only if you need the higher limits, 500 custom modules, or QuickML for your own models.

Discounts are thin. Vendr’s sample is small: 11 purchases across all Zoho products, at a median of about $10,300/year. Buyer notes there describe roughly 10% renewal concessions or flat renewals, not the deep multi-year discounts Salesforce reps trade for longer terms. Treat list as close to what you’ll pay below about 100 seats.

Best for

A RevOps lead or founder-operator at a 10-150 seat B2B company who needs Salesforce-style process control (stage-gated deals, territories, custom objects, approval flows) on an SMB budget, ideally one already paying for another Zoho app. It also fits outside the US: Zoho runs regional data centres (including EU, India, Saudi Arabia and Australia) and bills in local currencies.

Not for you if your reps will only adopt a tool that feels lightweight. Zoho’s UI is dense and admin-heavy, and a 5-person sales team will log more in Pipedrive. It’s also the wrong pick if your marketing team lives in HubSpot Marketing Hub, or if your RevOps hiring pool only knows Salesforce. Zoho admins are a smaller talent market.

Versus the alternatives

Salesforce is the market leader and the right pick when you need the AppExchange ecosystem, deep CPQ or revenue cloud, or an admin bench you can hire from easily. Pick Zoho when you need most of that data model and can’t justify Salesforce’s seat price plus implementation partner.

HubSpot is the number-two platform and wins when marketing automation and the CRM must be one system, with a UI reps adopt without training. Pick Zoho when the sales process needs hard stage gates and territory logic, and Zoho’s per-seat cost is a fraction of HubSpot Professional’s.

Attio is the fastest-growing entrant, with a hosted MCP server on every plan. Pick it for PLG or data-heavy GTM motions. Note that Attio moved custom objects to Pro ($79 annual) in 2026, while Zoho includes them in Enterprise at $40.

Pipedrive is the pick for teams under 20 reps that want adoption over configurability.

Watch-outs

  • It’s unclear which AI features each edition gets. The pricing page lists AI agents from Standard up, but Zia’s predictions and sales assistant start at Enterprise. Third-party reviewers also report that Zoho’s full feature matrix marks Zia Agents as unavailable on Standard. Guard: during the trial, test the specific agent or prediction you’re buying for in the edition you plan to buy, not in the trial’s default edition.
  • Implementation quality varies by partner. Zoho’s depth comes from Deluge scripts and custom functions, and many orgs inherit brittle code from a cheap partner build. Guard: require partners to keep Deluge functions in a documented repo, and use the Enterprise sandbox for every change before production.
  • Interface migration is mandatory. Zoho scheduled the old CRM interface’s retirement for July 2026 across all editions, and newer features such as team modules and team users exist only in the new “CRM for Everyone” UI. Guard: audit custom buttons, widgets and layouts against the new UI before renewing, and budget admin time for rework instead of assuming a free upgrade.
  • Record limits bite on the lower tiers. Zoho’s comparison caps Standard at 100,000 records and the Free edition at 5,000. Guard: count leads plus contacts plus activity-generating records before choosing Standard, and project the count 12 months out if you import purchased lead lists.
